Located in Hong Kong, The School of Engineering Regional Office, University of Warwick, is responsible for students from
Southeast Asian countries. The existing scope of duties of the
Regional Office are:

to answer student inquiries for all engineering
courses;

to promote awareness of the courses offered in the School of
Engineering by holding exhibitions and seminars;

to process applications for WMG MSc courses and to issue
offer/reject letters to students;

to liaison with University offices in
the UK.
Its Director, Professor S.W. Cheung, joined the University of Warwick as a Senior Fellow
at Warwick Manufacturing Group in 1989. In 1994, he was
seconded to Hong Kong as an Operations Manager of the Integrated
Graduated Development Scheme jointly offered by the University of
Warwick and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He was also
responsible for promotion and recruitment work in Asian
counties, including Hong Kong, China and Malaysia.
In year
2000, he was awarded the honorary title of Industrial Fellow by
the University. In the same year, he was appointed as Director of
Asia Pacific Services for Warwick Manufacturing Group. In 2004, his scope
of responsibility was expanded to include the entire School of Engineering.
In 2008, he was awarded the honorary title of Industrial Professor
by the University.
